Hoopes advises and represents institutions
and entrepreneurs in a variety of
areas, with a focus on litigation
and other forms of dispute resolution.
Mr. Hoopes also regularly handles
matters involving land use, real estate
and finance. He has extensive experience
in the representation of financial
institutions and portfolio purchasers
in problem loan workout, commercial
litigation and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Hoopes’ litigation practice
also involves commercial landlord/tenant
matters, construction litigation,
title insurance claims, environmental
litigation, eminent domain, tax appeals
and land use appeals, as well as other
types of business litigation. He has
tried numerous cases in state and
federal courts and has argued appeals
before the Connecticut Supreme and
Appellate Courts, the United States
Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit
and the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
