Biography:

John M. Murtagh represents individuals, small and mid-size businesses and national corporations in a diverse range of commercial and contractual matters as well as disputes in the state and federal trial and appellate courts of New York. Mr. Murtagh, has over twenty years of experience advising clients and, when necessary, representing them in litigation. He began his career representing off-shore and overseas insurers at a large Manhattan and London based law firm and, for the last eighteen years, has practiced in Westchester County New York.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Murtagh is serving his second term on the Yonkers City Council where he currently serves as Minority Leader and as a member of the Council's Real Estate, Economic Development, Environmental, Legislation and Budget Committees.

An Adjunct Professor of Law and Public Policy at Fordham University, Mr. Murtagh has been featured by, among others, The New York Times, National Public Radio and the Wall Street Journal and has been a guest on numerous local and national television programs including The Greta Van Sustren Show and the Sean Hannity Show.
